The illustration, undoubtedly, can be interpreted in a symbolic manner. It indicates that our life and career are synonymous with a racing game, which requires unrelenting, unceasing efforts and commitment. Confronted with formidable challenges and quickened pace of life, one can never pride himself in momentary accomplishments. Rather, one has to strive for a new and better goal. It is equally true in the case of a nation. Only with persistent endeavors could a nation renew and revitalize itself, thus maintaining its competitive edge.

Persuasive examples can readily be identified, both in American NASA efforts, and in overseas expansion of Chinese Haier Group. After successful launches of Apollo series spacecrafts, NASA starts to push the frontier farther beyond the solar system, aiming higher for an ambitious exploration of Saturn.(The seven years’ persistence eventually paid off in 2004, giving US space exploration a big jump ahead of it rivals.) Similarly in China, the endeavor of Haier Group also testifies to the symbolic interpretation of the picture…….The Heaven operates vigorously, and gentlemen strive for excellence unceasingly, as Bertrand Russell notes. It is the essence of life as well as career building-up!
