Dear Daddy,
Today is your 50th birthday, but I haven’t really got a chance to express my gratitude for you. I have been reading the letter you wrote to me 18 years ago, and when I come to know that you gave me the name “Ari”, hoping that I will be brave and responsible to the society, I am so moved.
It also brings back those memories where you encouraged me to adapt myself to the new environment and face up to all the coming difficulties when I first came to the middle school. You made every effort to keep me away from something that may interfere with my studies, and thus I was always working hard in order not to fall short of your expectations. And I know I should owe my outstanding academic performance to you.
Thanks for supporting me over the last 18 years of my life. Thanks for inspiring me to air my own views towards various topics all along. Thank you, dad, and I wish you a healthy body and a happy life.
