书上好象说的是:另一个.那是不是后面只可以用单数?我听说the other+n=the others那不就是复数了吗？？是不是书上解释错了
解答:
其他的,后面的名词可以用单复数。
the other+n. 指剩余的全部
例如： There are 40 students in my class. Twenty-four are boys, and the other students are girls.（我们班有40人。24个男生，其余的是女生。）
就等于There are 40 students in my class. Twenty-four are boys, and the others are girls.(我们班有40人。24个男生，其余的是女生。）
意思是一样的！
