本人大一新生……高三狂练作文，过去2个月。。现在生疏了……要交作文作业，试写了一篇……望各位帮偶指出下错误，顺便提点修改意见，谢谢~

A brand new horizon
In 2008,I reached my eighteenth and stepped into X University. In 2008,6 billion people saw an arts and sports feast in China. All of us are faced with a brand new horizon.,which brings me fresh experience and mature thoughts, and brings billions of people a new impression about the modernlized Beijing and prosperous China.
Living a meaningful life rezenmbles climbing mountains, and we have different horizons in different heights. When setting foot on the land of X University, I was shocked by both its nature beauty and its accumulation of culture, which are reflecting the true spirit of learning all the time. In the university, I find many intelligent, active and warm-hearted students, responsible, excellent and friendly teachers and professors, who are always willing to help me,and guide me to the endless ending. Besides, there are various opportunities still in store for me to have a try, and the studying resource is so abundent that I should make the best of it.
During the several years in X University, I believe, we have to live up to our expectations to be more independent, more confident, more experienced with social relationship and the like. Hard as the process may, I will still spare no efforts to reach my goal. And I hope I will meet another new horizon when graduating from here.

你的这个文章，我的感觉是有一些Chinglish，个别词用的比较的深奥，有些句子太冗长了，其实你要表达的意思不是很麻烦，你就用一些简单的表达就可以了，而且你的标题你要表达的意思是不是一个新的开始啊，你用的这个感觉有点怪怪的，其实我个人认为英文作文更注重的是那中连贯性和和谐感，不需要用高深的词语，那些越简单的用得越好，得到的效果越好。

make the best of it.这个词组是尽力而为的意思，你要表达的应该是充分利用的意思吧你可以用make full use of it。
