我才回到家里。感谢你的上一封来信和照片。很抱歉没有及时回复，那时到现在我总是在一个城市到另一个城市的移动中，现在的生活和以前大不相同，工作后和学生时代区别好大，尤其是生活在离开家乡的地方。
上回的信你说是不是会对你交了个女友感到惊奇？哦，我可从没不这么认为。我一直觉得你是一个风趣的人，也是我见过的最聪明的人之一，你一定是个受欢迎的人物。
我看到Nathon和Lisa发来的照片，他们的孩子真漂亮！我想他们将来会拥有许多的孩子，就像你的家庭一样。当我第一次见到你的家人时，我想起了电影《音乐之声》中的家庭。
春节后我会在家乡安定一段时间，开始一边工作一边进修。你知道我将要学习的是什么么？你最擅长的——计算机，对我可就困难了。
08年发生了很多事，有一些十分糟糕，不论是我的祖国还是我的家庭。(我们这里受地震影响不大，不过在今年有两位长辈因病离世了。)我希望新年里人们会更平安，希望上帝保佑每一个人。我想我愿意相信上帝的存在，是因为被神所爱着是一种很好的感觉，让我有种安全感。不知这种观点是否正确呢？

Back home now. Thanks for your last letter and photos. I was always busy in moving from one city to another at that time and very sorry not to respond in time. It’s quite different from student time as an office worker, especially living far away from my hometown. My life has changed a lot.

You are wondering whether I will be surprised that you are dating. Well, in my eyes you have been always a funny person and also the most intelligent I have ever met. So I’m not surprised and I believe you must be popular among your friends.

I reviewed the photos sent by Nathon and Lisa. Wow, they are beautiful! I think they will have more lovely children, just like your family. You know, the first meet with your family made me recollect the scene of Sound of Music. I plan to stay in my hometown for some time after the Spring Festival, working and studying in the meantime. You cannot imagine what I am going to learn. It’s the computer, yes, your strong suit but hard for me.

Many things have happened this year, some of which are quite awful for both my country and my family. My hometown was not influenced a lot by the terrible earthquake but two elders of mine have died of illness. God bless everybody and gives us a auspicious new year. I think I am willing to believe the existing of God and being loved by God makes me feel safe. Am I right?
