应该是Experience is the father of wisdom and memory is the mother of wisdom.经验是知识之父，记忆是知识之母.
还有In front of the school stand......In the back(这里为什么可以省略of the school)stand......

解答:
这种省略为并列成分的省略,省略的原则是省略部分不难看出.例如下面的句子:
In 1958 the output of coal in the socialist countries amounted to about 18% of that of the world; of steel 25%;of grains 40%; of cotton 40%.
省略还有其他很多情况,可见文法书. 一般稍详细的文法书都会谈到各种情况的省略.
