选哪个啊？

这里没有一个答案是正确的，应该填when才是符合语法的。


此类题型可以总结为“It + be + 表示时间的名词（短语/词组）+ 关联词 + 从句”结构中关联词的选择。

总体解题思路：（可以结合下一部分内容“具体操作方法详述”体会）——先分时间名词再看句子时态
1）先根据表示时间的名词的不同类别，进行关联词的初步筛选；
2）再根据句子的时态形式（包括主句和从句以及主从句的配合），最终确定关联词的选择。

具体操作方法详述：（要时刻联系“总体解题思路”，不要迷失于细节）
1）当It be后面的位置是由“介词+表示时间的名词”来表达，则句子很有可能是It is的强调句结构，那么关联词只能用that，而不能用when、where、why，但存在例外，后有论述。
e.g.:
it was in the evening that we reached the little town of Winchester.
但是，有时虽然It be后虽然是“介词+表示时间的名词”，但后面的从句是以表示时间的名词为先行词、对其进行修饰的定语从句，再之后的句子才是强调句的剩余部分（在有上下文的前提下可以省略），即有一个定语从句嵌套在It is强调句结构当中，此时关联词的选择要按照定语从句关系代词、关系副词的选择规则、规律来进行，具体说来，就是先行词在定语从句中作主语、宾语或表语时用关系代词that或which（作宾语时可省略）；先行词在定语从句中作时间状语时用关系副词when或相应的介词+关系代词which（不可用that）。
e.g.:
It was in that evening when we gathered together that we reached the little town of Winchester.

2）当It be后面的位置是表示时间点的名词，那么关联词只能是用when（如本题所示，这也正是本题选E的原因）。对于这种句型结构有两种理解，都是正确的，下面结合本题进行说明。
e.g.:
It was evening when we reached the little town of Winchester.
理解思路一：
when在此处是一个引导时间状语从句的从属连词，解释为“当...时”。
理解思路二：
when在此处是一个引导定语从句的关系代词，而evening是先行词，在从句中充当时间状语。
需要特别指出的是，这里的it既可以理解为指称/表示时间的代词（就如同：It is 9 o'clock.中的it一样），也可以理解为是指代this、that这两个指示代词的代词（就如同：--What is this? --It is a bike中的it一样）。

3）当It be后面的位置是表示时间段的名词，那么要分两种情况分别讨论：

[A] 若主句谓语动词时态为一般现在时或现在完成时，而从句谓语动词的时态为一般过去时，则关联词应选择since。这和since解释为“自从”、作引导时间状语从句的从属连词的时态要求是一致的。不是必须严格要求主句用现在完成时，而可以用一般现在时的原因是主句的谓语动词是be，用一般现在时可以代替现在完成时或现在进行时等复杂时态。（就如同：--What is the time now? --It is 9 o'clock now/already.中不说It is being 9 o'clock now./It has been 9 o'clock already.一样。本来now和already分别是现在进行时和现在完成时典型的时间状语信号词。）
e.g.:
It is/has been long/ages/6 months since we met last time.

[B] 若{i}以现在时刻为基点：主句谓语动词时态为一般将来时，而从句谓语动词的时态为一般现在时，或{ii}以过去时刻为基点：主句谓语动词时态为过去完成时或一般过去时（发生这种情况的理由同上个条目），而从句谓语动词的时态为一般过去时，则关联词应选择before。这和before解释为“在...之前”、作引导时间状语从句的从属连词的时态要求也是一致的，因为这里主句的动作先发生，而before引导的从句后发生。
e.g.:
It won't be a long time before we meet again.
It was/had been several weeks before he realized that he was cheated.


另一种解题思路
1。把evening放回"we reached the little town of Winchester"句中
2。判定evening在后面的句中，是什么成分
如果直接能放回，不需要修改，则是强调句,用that
如果不能直接放回，则根据句子的意思，来判断用before,when,since中的哪个
详细操作和分析
1.evening放回后面句中
2.发现不能直接放回,即"we reached the little town of Winchester evening"不成立，因此不是强调句，则排除A选项(that)
举例1：it was in the evening that we reached the little town of Winchester.
in the evening能直接放回后面句子，成为一个完整的句子"we reached the little town of Winchester in the evening"，因此例句1就是强调句(it is ...that句型)。
3.然后分析B. until C. since D. before E. when区别
1）了解BCDE选项的解释，until"直到",since"自从",before"在...之前"，when"当"
2)把BCDE放到句子中，选择符合题意的，或者是选择最贴切的
a.如果是until,句子就变为"是晚上了直到我们到达。。。"，此解释不通顺，因此选项B(until)排除
b.如果是since,句子就变为"是晚上了自从我们到达。。。。"，也不通顺，选项C(since)也排除
c.如果是before“在我们到达。。。之前,是晚上了"，解释通顺的，但是如果这样,应该用it had been evening(在我们到达这个过去的时间之前，所以要用过去完成时),所以选项D(before）也排除
d.如果是when,"在我们到达...的时候，是晚上了"，解释通顺的，时态也对，因此选E(when).
