2.这里用that指"the man",并做从句中的表语.这里的从句是限制性的,用that.有些语法书强调用"who"(主格),"whom"(宾格)代表人,但在这一句中都用"that".还有的场合,that被省略,如:
She is no longer the ignorant girl (that) she was.(在从句中做表语)
