The PCM Moineau progressive cavity pump(or eccentric screw pump) essentially consists of two internal helical gears,which both have the following features:
 The stator,which is the external element,has one more tooth than the rotor,which is the internal element
 In any given cross-section,each section of the rotor is in contact with the stator
 The pitches of the helices of the two elements are in a ratio according to the number of teeth
The rotation generates an axial displacement,from the suction to the discharge,of the closed cavities bounded by the rotor and stator
PCM’s Moineau pump is a positive displacement pump whose displacement is equal to the volume of one cavity
The pump has a so-called “floating”stator,that is,it has a free end.This principle,,in combination with elastic coupling,simplifies transmission of the rotational movement between the drive and rotor.
This floating installation of the stator provides some special benefits:
Direction of rotation(caution:this pump is not reversible)
The pump’s direction of rotation is indicated on the upper portion of the pump body
The pump is designed to be used in only one direction of rotation.it is up to the installer to check the rotating field to be sure of the pump’s direction of rotation

PCM Moineau 螺杆抽油泵(或者偏心螺旋泵)主要由两个内斜齿轮构成。这两个齿轮有以下特征：
定子是外部件，比内部件的转子多一个齿。

两个部件的螺旋斜度满足一个跟齿数相关的比例。
