"地球一小时"是WWF（世界自然基金会）应对全球气候变化所提出的一项倡议，希望个人、社区、企业和政府在特定的时间熄灯一小时，来表明他们对应对气候变化行动的支持。2009年，“地球一小时”的目标是希望全球1000个城市的约10亿人参与到这个活动中，在2009年3月28日晚20：30熄灯一小时,展示公众对达成全球新的应对气候变化协议的支持。
过量二氧化碳排放导致的气候变化目前已经极大地威胁到地球上人类的生存。我们只有通过改变全球民众对于二氧化碳排放的态度，才能减轻这一威胁对我们造成的影响。

One hour for the earth is an initiative proposed by WWF ,for response to the climate change globally .And they wish individual,community,enterprise and the government put out one hour in a certain time to show their support about response to the climate change globally .In 2009,the aim of one hour for the earth is that about 1 billion people in 1000 cities global can take part in this action.On 20:30 March 28th 2009,they put out one hour to show their support to the public.
The excessive carbon dioxide emissions has resulted in climate change and it has threatened the life of people on the earth.We only change people's attitude about emissions of carbon dioxide to reduce the effect of this threat.
