4. Most Singaporean are of Chinese origin. Chinese used to call Singapore "Nanyang". Its former Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew is a Chinese descendant.
5. Singapore shares a lots of things in common with China in culture, as most of Singaporean are Chinese descendants.

Differences:
1. China is a vast while Singapore is a tiny country, either from the population or territory point of view.
2. Singapore adopts capitalism while China implements socialism.
3. Singapore is a rich country and one of The Four Little Dragons of Asia. China is a developing country.
4. China has a long history while Singapore is a burgeoning country.
