High heels bring you much - fashion, beauty, and attraction. But they cost more. So my point is, staying away from high heels. Here's why:

1. High heels are torturing. They're causing damages to almost every part of your body. Your toes, feet, ankles, knees, legs, hips, back, and even your brain.

1) Toes. High heels are generally tight. So your toes are squashed together. This can create ingrown toenails, blisters, and even foot infection. In other words, you have to not only pay for your shoes, but also pay your extra medical bills. Not to mention the pain and scars to be left.

2) Feet. When you’re in high heels, your feet are downward. So your forefoot will take far much pressure than usual. This will cause great pain and may cause a deformed condition to your feet.

3) Ankles and knees. When walking on high heels, your ankles and kneecaps are staying flexed. The compression between joints suddenly increases. This will usually result in osteoarthritis.

4) Legs and hips. Since your feet are downward, they don't have much force to push off the ground and move forward. So, your legs and hip muscles must over-work to move your body forward. This is absolutely a big burden to your legs and hips and will hurt.

5) Back. We know that human back has a natural S-curve shape to reduce shock. But high heels will cause your lower body to lean forward. Correspondingly, your upper body must lean back to keep your balance. This is not a normal posture. It will lead your back muscles overused, and then your back hurts.

6) Brain. As I said above, people have an S-curve shape of back to reduce shock, but high heels can distort your back shape. It means that the shock reaching to your brain increases. This is a great threat to your brain health.

2. High heels break your body balance. No one's feet are cut out for high heels. Our feet are created to provide us with strength and balance when we walk. But high heels will make your lower body lean forward. So you're more likely to lose balance and stumble or fall.

Shoes are meant to protect your feet. However, look, what you get from high-heel shoes? Suffering so much just for a temporary beauty? It wasn’t worth it.

Fortunately, more and more women, and experts, and health organizations have already realized this. Many women have thrown their high heels, and others are working out tips to minimize the damage. For instance, people no longer wear high heels every day, instead, they only wear them for special occasions. And office ladies will take off high heels and change into flat shoes before leaving the office.
