改革开放以来，随着我国经济的发展，各类型企业开始走出国门开展对外直接投资，走上跨国经营之路。特别是自我国加入世界贸易组织以来，我国对外直接投资快速增长，中小企业也异军突起，在我国对外直接投资进程中扮演了主力军的角色。同时，中小企业的跨国经营也不尽如人意，也暴露出了一些问题，这些问题阻碍着中小企业跨国投资的进一步快速发展。
本文在考察我国中小企业对外直接投资的概述、动因及所存在的阻碍因素的基础上，有针对性地为我国中小企业对外直接投资提出了一些对策和建议。(这个为摘要)

Since China adopted the policy of reform and opening up, and with the rapid growth of China's economy, various kinds of enterprises have been going international, undertaken FDI, and joined the journey of transnational business operation.
Particularly, since China joined the WTO, China witnessed rapid growth in FDI. And we saw a sudden rise of China's small and mid-size enterprises and they have played as the main forces. Meanwhile,however, these small and mid-size enterprises' business operations are far from satisfactory. They encountered some problems which hindered them from further rapid growth in their transnational operation.

This paper proposes some countermeasures and suggestions exclusively for China's small and mid-size enterprises in their FDI based on the status in quo, motivations, and barriers of China's small and mid-size enterprises' FDI.
