能解释下这句吗？？？这句好多都不明啊。。


第二个问题：
i had once seen it before i came here
在我来这之前，就已经见过它

（这里的before,是before i came here，在前边。一般都是这样。好多句子都是这样。这个比较明）

i had never met him before
（这里的before。在后边。为什么？）

1, 第一句的基本句型应该是：run away as quickly as one can“尽最大努力快跑、拼命快跑”。从句法结构来看应该是， as quickly as 引导比较状语从句，意思是“象…一样快跑”。从句 one can后省略了动词run，所以你的句子中run也是多余的，正常句子应该是：ran away as quickly as they could “他们飞快地跑去”。
2，这是before这个词的词性变化问题。在i had once seen it before i came here中，before为从属连词，引导一个时间状语从句，所以放在从句的句首。这个从句可以在主句的前面，也可以在主句的后面。before i came here是“在我来这之前”。
而在i had never met him before中，before是副词，用作状语，说明时间，意思是“以前、从前”等。英语中时间、地点等状语通常都是放在句子的后面的。
第一句中的before i came here是“在我来这之前”。而第二句i had never met him before，是“我以前从未见过他”。
