London
Many of the cities in the world are getting bigger and bigger
day by day. It is said that there are now sixteen cities with more
than eight million people. London is one of them. But London
is not getting bigger. Today less people live in the center of the
city and more people live in the suburbs. They travel to work in
the city.
In London, there are thousands of cars, buses and trucks.
So the air is not fresh. People breathe dirty air all day, every day.
And they spend a lot of time traveling from home to work,
and from work to home. They must pay high rents for the houses
or flats they live in.
Why do more and more people come to live in cities?
