You haven't passed the exam, haven't you?
1)Bob rarely got drunk, did he?
Few people know him, do they?
She seldom goes to the cinema, does she?
Oh, he is a writer, is he?
You’ll not go, won’t you?
abstract:english tag questions have the most complicated structures and the most semantic and pragmatic functions among all kinds of english questions.this paper briefly explains the meaning of humanism and analyzes the implications, features and pragmatic functions of english tag questions;meanwhile it explores the relationship between the humanism and the use of english tag questions.inthe end,it summarizes the development ofthe pragmatic functions of english tag questions is the result of the development of the social culture.
