In the present climate, the issue whether high school students should give their teachers some evaluation and criticism becomes vexed question which people retain diverse attitudes. Advocates claim that it is compulsory that the students have to give the feedback about the quality of education. Opponents, on the other hand, argue that there are some negative influences if the students could evaluate and criticize their teachers. Let us get down to the nitty gritty in this discussion.
Those who approve of the former point have cogent reasons for it. To begin with, no one will doubt that the evaluation and criticism can enhance teachers’ spirit of competition and improve their efficiency of teaching work. Not only can it save much time for the teachers, but also can help the students to obtain the more useful knowledge what they want to learn. Secondly, evaluation and criticism which are provided by students are also a necessary monitor, primarily because the high school lack of the supervision to monitor their teaching quality, if the problem could not be solved completely, as a result, the students may not have a good transcript for applying good university, moreover, the bad reputation will be established by the high school.
Nevertheless, others put an adverse attitude in regards to this issue due to following two reasons. For one thing, with the development of the educational competition, our teachers work under great pressure and the evaluation will undoubtedly add to their strain, needless to say, giving them more passive effects. For another thing, as we know there is an unvarnished truth that the high school students are not mature enough both intellectually and psychologically. Hence, to ensure all the evaluations are objective is impossible. For instance, if they were not satisfied with their performance, they would seize this opportunity to take revenge on their teachers.

It is quite understandable that people with different backgrounds put different attitude on the same issue. Form my perspective, I strongly support the latter view; the negative aspects are more obvious. As a matter of fact, I'm disposed to believe that it will be beneficial if the evaluation system could be created in college or university.

Not only can it save much time for the teachers, but also can help the students to obtain the more useful knowledge what they want to learn. 后半句中是定语从句，应该为the more useful knowledge that they want to learn.
