至于都表示着 “虽然……但是……”的 although 和but有何区别，可以做如下理解：两者总是被用在并列句中，并列句包含两部分。一部分表示条件，另一部分表示结果。although 用在 “条件” 之前，而 but 用在 “结果”之前。

对于 though 和 however ，可做类似理解。
