I’m very shock to hear that to day is Saturday, the last day of my new week. To tell the truth, I haven’t prepared well for my first weekends in my college life. So I make a choice to hide myself in my aunt’s lovely house, paying all my efforts on my math’s course. The first week, in my own view, is so curious to now everything. Many things may be so small to the fellow students, such as trying the taste of capturing the seats of the whole row and waiting for my lovely being-late roommates to come and sit down at the very moment before the professor come in. Seeing them running towards me, I myself found it interesting and very glad to help them. The course was far beyond my thought, especially the English intensive course. Maybe the English educational system and the English education means are changing in different parts of China, I found it even unable to tolerant. The professor just stood there talking and talking in her nasty voice adding ‘you know’ from time to time whenever she couldn’t continue her long speech. The first time she asked us to have a discussion in class, she didn’t make a clear instruction for us, and just point one of us to standing in front of the class to present the answer. In my opinion, teachers, especially the college English teacher, the most important thing is to have the students to present. We don’t have to pay so much attention to the form, just to say is enough. We students, especially the fresh ones coming from the high schools which provide so few chances to speak aloud to the class, are keen to learn more things besides grammar. I’m a shy girl and very easy to be strained as soon as I am asked to present myself or something else in front of the audience. But this week, I challenged myself to standing in front to have my three oral quiz. As a freshman, like so many people, I enlisted some associations to train my working ability. The first one was the most difficult one for me, as I never tried this kind of quiz before, though my brother told me that might be easy to carry on. But after that, I could charge myself when standing on the stage. And the third one might be the most successful one to me, a fresh to this field. Now, I’ve already received two associations reply, I’m glad to hear about it. In the next week, I will stick on my own schedule and have a meaningful week.
