The Birthday Cake
Matt was making a birthday cake for a special friend.Dad helped him take the cake out of theoven.They put it on the table to cool.
"Now that the cake is done,I need your help raking leaves,"Dad said.
Matt and Dad went outside.There were lots of leaves to rake!They raked the leaves into piles.Then they put the piles into big brown bags.They worked for a long time.
When Matt came back inside,the cake was gone. He could see the pan.It had crunbs in it.Wherewas the cake?He looked all around.
At last he saw Dusty.Dusty's nose had ctunbs on it,too.
Matt laughed."Happy birthday,silly pup!"he said,"You ate up all your cake,but you are still my special friend."

生日蛋糕
Matt正在為一個特殊的朋友做一個生日蛋糕。他爸爸幫他把蛋糕從烤箱裏拿出來，他們把它放在桌子上冷卻。
“現在蛋糕做好了，我需要你幫忙把樹葉耙走”爸爸說。
Matt 和他爸爸出去了，（樹下）有許多樹葉要耙掉，他們把葉子耙成一堆，然後把它們放進大大的褐色袋子裏，他們倆干了很久（的活）。
鐺Matt回到屋子裏面的時候，蛋糕不見了。他只看到了平底鍋,裏面只有一些麵包屑。蛋糕在哪裏呢？他四周都找遍了。
最後他看到了Dusty,而且它的鼻子上粘有麵包屑。Matt笑了！“生日快樂，小笨蛋！”他說，“雖然你偷偷把你的蛋糕都吃了，但你還是我最特別的朋友！”
