The city I want to live in most is Beijing, because Beijing is the capital of China, where you can see Chairman Mao Zedong's
portrait hung on Tiananmen (Heavenly Peaceful Gate) with two great revolutionary slogans on each side: Long Life People's Republic Of China and Long Life the unity of the people around the world.

I remember for the first time when I saw it in the spring of 1989, I got really emotional because it was in this square that Chairman Mao declared that Chinese people finally stood up in 1949 and met with millions of Red Guards during our Great Cultural Revolution and also it was the same place where the counter-revolution rebellion was crushed by hundreds of thousands of brave PLA soldiers with automatic weapons, armored vehicles and tanks later in the same year.

Beijing is the heart of our mother land, it is where our dear Communist leaders work and live. In 2008, it will also host the summer Olympic Games. It is an honor to be a Chinese. However, I know as a migrant worker, I will won't be allowed to go to Beijing during the Olympic Games because we want foreign visitors and dignitaries to come. I have no grudge and I am used to it.

I also know I won't be able to live in Beijing in my life time because I am from the countryside, but it isn't a crime to dream, is it?
