inheritance usually refers to money or property which you receive from someone who has died.
heritage is a big word which can be used to describe all the traditions/cultures/features of life, etc that have continued for many years and have been passed on from one generation to another

lighted&lit: both of them could be used as the past tense and past participle for light. It seems lit is more common, but lighted is also used.
