Christmas is a traditional holiday on the Gregorian Canlendar when Christians celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ.

In celebration of this holiday, churches would have a service on Christmas Eve, the night of December 24th and then celebrate Christmas on December 25th. On the other hand, one denomination of Christianity, the Eastern Orthodox followers would celebrate Christmas on January 7th each year. According to the Four Gospels of Christianity, Jesus was born in Bethlehem when Mary and Joseph were on their way (came here) to register for the census after Saint Mary was pregnant by the Holy Spirit.

Christians believe that the birth of Jesus fulfilled the prophecy in Judism that Messiah would come to the earth as Bethlehem is the city of David.

Christmas is a public holiday in the West and other parts of the world, such as Hong Kong, China; Malaysia and Singapore. However, the exact date of Jesus' birthday is still debatable.

Joseph originally was from Bethlehem, the city of David, that was the reason why he had to travel with Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem for the census, they never planned to go to Rome for that reason.
