1.它们两个表达都是询问别人意见，意思上一样的。
what about 主要+ sth/sb。
How about 主要+ doing?

2.因为sit 是个不及物动词，后面不能跟宾语。这里的by是介词，意思是靠窗而坐。
3。by oneself 意思是某人亲自做事。Daming does his homework by himself.就是说他自己做的家庭作业。（而不是别人帮做）。你的这个句子himself是反身代词做宾语（和主语是同一人）的用法。
4。应该不是most而是 must 吧？must是情态动词，+ 动词原形，后面只能用sit原形。
5。应该是用thinking的，有be 动词在。
