首先要明确：live表“住”的意思时，是不及物动词。

1.Where do you live ?
where是副词，前面不要介词。如：go home(home为副词，所以go后面不要介词）

2.What place do you live in?
what为形容词"哪个"，what place名词短语作live的宾语，所以要in.

3.Suzhou and Hangzhou are good places to live in.
4.Sunshine Town is a great place to live in.
5.The house Daniel lives in is in a small town.
The house (that Daniel lives in) is in a small town.
the house在定语从句中作live的宾语，所以要in

6.The Youth Centre is a good place to go to.
