激历动机，促进内化。
如果说学生为达成教师设置的目标，而形成比，学，赶，帮，超的进取意识，那么这只是一种外部动力，还需把这种外部动力内化到自身的需要。
教师要采用激励机制，促使内化。如在班级的黑板报上张贴“比比谁的英语成绩最好，谁的进步最大”，以学生促进英语学习为主。有时在上课的时侯 给学生鼓励的语言，眼神，动作等，都可能促使学生在学习中自觉进取，争当排头宾，争做佼佼者。
