other仅用作形容词，作定语，泛指“其余的、别的”，后接复数名词。例如：
Other students will stay at school. 别的学生将留在学校里。
What other things can you see? 你还能看见别的东西吗？
another用作形容词或代词，表示不定数目中的另一个。例如：
I’ll give you another example. 我再给你举个例子吧。
They stood up one after another. 他们相继站了起来。
the other作定语用，后跟单数名词，是特指两个东西中的另一个；后跟复数名
词，表示特指的人或物。the other也可作代词，表示特指的另一个。例如：
I have only found one shoe. Where is the other one?
我只找到了一只鞋，另一只在哪儿呢？
Where are the other students? 别的学生在哪里？
This one is red and the other is black.
这个是红色的，另一个是黑色的。
others, the others都只用作代词。others用于泛指，表示“别的人或物”，
the others用于特指，表示某个范围内“其余的人或物、所有的其他人或物”。
例如：
Some students study harder than others. 有些学生比别的学生学习用功。
Here are five pencils. One is for Li Lei and the others are for Han
Mei.
