问题: 那个fish
以前看越狱的时候没在意
后来又看了些有关监狱里的电影,都是把新来的叫fish
又查不到这个用法,是不是就指新来的?有没有鄙视的意思?
是什么场合都能叫还是只能在监狱里叫?

In American English:
Fish can refer to a poor chess player (also 'patzer') who 'bites' at whatever trap a better player throws out.
In poker terms a "fish" is used to describe someone who is looked at as having poor skills in the game, who can be easily beaten.
Fish therefore is an easy target, a sucker.
