请教高人：convention与custom当“习俗”讲时，用法有什么区别吗，最好有例句说明，非常感谢！

convention ——agreement about how people should act or behave
in certain circumstances(某种情况下的）习俗，惯例.侧重于惯例.
custom——usual,gererally accepted and long-established way of
behaving or doing things风俗.侧重于风俗，习俗.
比如，By convention the deputy leader is always a woman.(按照惯例，此领导人的副职一般由女性担任。）
It is difficult to get used to another country's custom.(要适应另一国家的风俗习惯是很困难的。）
有一个短语A slave to convention(custom)
前者的意思是sb who always follows accepted ways of doing
things.后者的意思是sb who does what most people do and have
always done.
仔细体会下英文的注释，应该比单纯的中文注释要更形象。掌握一个单词应该首先去看一下英文的注释，而不要只看中文的意思，有些很奥妙的，中文不能表达完全。
